Crowle Peatland Railway in Lincolnshire recently held an Open Day featuring the resident fleet of 3 foot gauge locomotives. Motive power included three Schӧma diesel-hydraulics that were built in Germany in the early 1990s for the peat works around Crowle, along with a Motor Rail Simplex that had lain abandoned for over 25 years on one of the peat moors. From further afield were a Hunslet Wagonmaster from Bord na Móna in Ireland and a Wickham Type 17A trolley from the Lochaber Railway in Scotland.
