The places and people Peter met while on National Service after the war in Burma were faithfully recreated in his Normanton back garden and in his garage. At the end of the photographs are some models of actual friends.

Some of Peter’s locos and rolling stock were bought by Yorkshire members and still can be see running regularly on Yorkshire lines. 

Our large portable layout ” Mount Dowd” is named after Peter who was one of the earliest members of the 16mm Association.
